A look I will be forever a fan of .. Big Wild Curl /Waves - a look I have not done in a long wild, but with the summer approaching, it is on my to-do list. This is a look from Zimmerman Swimwear show from seasons past.

For this look , you can make Curls and Waves - curling the hair both upward and downward to create a lot of volume. Use a big toothed comb to separate the curl / waves and also use a rat-tail comb to tease the hair a bit at the roots .

This is my favorite part of the styling process - Flip your head over, and spray !!!!!! Once you return to a normal position, you will notice the difference instantly. Definitely not for the faint at heart - it brings you from zero to WILD with just a few sprays.

Sometimes, you want to go for a more demure, sleek look like this one pictures from the runway show of Alessandro Dell'Acqua . I love the shiny sleek loose waves what are pushed ( very neatly) to one side.

Straight Sexy Hair Smooth and Seal

Use this shine spray on the hair before creating the curls, but after the hair was dried, and dry again to smooth all frizzy areas . It eliminates any thought of frizz , and it gives the hair a lustrous shine - wheres there is no need for a shine finishing spray at all!!!


T3 PRO EverTwirl Curling Iron

This iron makes beautiful waves - but the tip is to use the iron faced downward to create the waves. When rolling the hair around the barel, make sure to not wrap the ends, so it has that straight effect like pictured above. Then take a dime sized amount of Frizz eliminator ( pictured in group) , slick one side of the hair and secure it with a pin in the back of the head.

I just loved the Pin-Curled looks at the Chris Benz Fall 2009 RTW show. I am a big fan of the retro finely coiffed look.

This is one of my FAV's - it makes pretty curls as. For the style above, curl the hair in medium sections and let the curls set by pinning them . Release the pins , tease them a bit ( with your fingers ), and pin the hair once more, but in a very loose pattern.

This is to secure that your curls stay in tact once styled.

Available at any of your local drug stores , and even some mass supermarket chains - Sea Breeze Actives Clear Pore Astringent ( over 100 years in the skin care industry!!!) is the answer to so many of our skin dilemma's.

Ginnifer Goodwin , pictured in a scene from "He's just not that into you" - wearing Pasadena Purple by NUBAR.This purple hue is a perfect play on the whole "purple rage" that's been going in fashion right now.

Secret tip : Use the Magic Buffer by NUBAR before applying the color. I'm a firm believer that any color you apply has an extra touch of glossiness if your nails were buffed / shined pre-lacquer application. This buffer is so good that your nails looks as if they've just been painted with a top coat (thanks to the "Shine" side) . This is a definite to-do on your shopping list.

Rescue Beauty Lounge - one of my favorites when it comes to nail care ( Ji Baek is so Fabulous!!) , I thought I'd make a list of the colors that I am loving at the moment.

SPRING 2009 Collection

-Locavore-

Confetti Carnival in a bottle.

-Look Rich, Be Cheap-
My mantra at the current moment , is my favorite of the three shades. The gold / purple combination is very pretty on the nails.. I'd wear my LBD (little black dress) with this color.

-Frugalista-

I suggest pairing this color (as a top coat) over a baby pink shade of nail lacquer ... I think it would make a impact.

Signature shades that have become staples to Rescue Beauty Lounge, but I still love them as if they were released today.

-Teal-

Inspired by fashion off the 2008 runway shows .. This shade of teal is very pretty. It's the perfect solution for a bold color choice without going too too dark ( with the expected black, wine, or dark blue shades) .

-Concrete Jungle-

Growing up in these Brooklyn, NYC streets - I'm no stranger to concrete. I love the cement-like color , its very haute as far as nail colors are concerned.. It's like the equivalent to a nude pair of 4inch heels - you can pair it with almost anything, and it will take your look to the next level.

-No More War-

I just have a thing for shades of green.. I don't know how to put it into words, but I love green on the nails..

-Bruised-

Okay, the word "bruised" is not the best choice of words for my next comment. But, I find this color to be romantic . I can see it being paired with a plush velvet dress while out on the town..





I love these colors below.. They remind me of spending time with my nephew watching "SpongeBob Squarepants". These colors are perfect for the beach , or for that weekend getaway to somewhere HOT HOT HOT !!!

The perfect shade of coral. Can you imagine how great this will look on bronzed, newly tanned skin???? I can !!

-Square Pants-

This color is just self-explanatory !!! Its so bright and bubbly.. It just makes me want to smile..

-Bikini Bottom-

I saved my favorite of the three for last !!!!! This shade is so original.. Its like no color I've seen before.. I would wear this color when I need a little pick-me-up , I love this shade so much!!!!!
